Todd Raviotta’s Interview with Crispin Hellion Glover

Today’s post is a link to local filmmaker Todd Raviotta’s very fine interview with Crispin Hellion Glover for RVA Magazine.

If you haven’t heard, the James River Film Society brings Mr. Glover to The Byrd this Friday, December 3 at 9:30 p.m. to present An Evening with Crispin Hellion Glover.

The evening will consist of:

1) Crispin Hellion Glover’s Big Slide Show, where Mr. Glover performs a one-hour dramatic narration of eight different profusely illustrated books. The images from the books are projected behind Mr. Glover during his performance.

2) A screening of “It is fine! EVERYTHING IS FINE.”(2007, 35mm, color, 74 min.), part two of Glover’s “It” Trilogy.

Plus a Q&A session and book signing!

Parental Advisory: According to Mr. Glover, quote: “I do not think either [of my two “It” Trilogy] films would be appropriate for anyone under the age of 18.”

Tickets are $20, which you can purchase in advance at Chop Suey Books or Video Fan. If you don’t get them in advance just head on down to the Byrd (they’ll start selling tickets at 9 p.m.) — with something like 1200 seats (when the balcony is open), there should be a seat for everyone who wants to be there.

You can’t see this at home so don’t miss this one-of-a-kind independent film event!

NOTE: Todd Raviotta’s interview with Crispin Hellion Glover will appear in the next print issue of RVA Mag, which hits the streets this Wednesday.
