The James River Film Journal is a new initiative for the James River Film Society, formerly known as the Richmond Moving Image Co-op. Our writers are serious about their love for the movies, cinema, film, moving images, video, and new media and each has his or her unique passions and expertise. Look for regular features about the films and filmmakers that James River Film is presenting through the James River Film Festival, James River Filmmakers Forum and special screenings throughout the year. In addition, we plan to write about new theatrical releases (those that come to Richmond and those that don’t), DVD releases, restorations, and anything else that interests us. If you’re interested in writing for the Journal contact james [at] rmicweb [dot] org.
